Catholic Community of the Blessed Trinity Parish Pastoral Council is seeking nominations for members for the 2021/2022 term which begins September, 2021. Council members serve 3 year terms, renewable once. The Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the pastor (parochial administrator/vicar), is a reference point for activity in the parish, provides recommendations for parish priorities, directions and policies, and promotes communication and understanding. Those nominated must be fully initiated Roman Catholics in good standing with the Church, be registered and supporting members of the parish, be participants in parish life and worship and be committed to prayer, study, listening and dialogue, as well as be committed to giving the time needed for participation. Some of the gifts Council members should possess are a desire for spiritual growth in oneself and in the parish, eagerness to participate in parish decisions about its direction, and a willingness to listen, speak openly and honestly, and to work toward consensus.

Thank you for your thoughtful and prayerful consideration in nominating a parishioner, or yourself. Nominees will be provided Parish Pastoral Council Guidelines. Contact Rosemary Seymour at (315-594-6037) or Marie Smith at (315-591-1051) with questions.

If you don’t take an insert, you will find a form for your Pastoral Council Nomination(s) on the last page of this bulletin. Simply fill out, cut out and put in the basket labeled “Pastoral Council Nominations” located at the back of the churches.
