Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained.
– John 20:23, NAB

The Sacrament of Reconciliation [Penance or Confession] is a wonderful gift that Jesus entrusted to His Church. Jesus not only understood our human weakness and limitation, in his innocence and  goodness, he even bore the price of our sins, through His suffering and death. With His resurrection, he conquered suffering and death that he may share with us new and eternal life.

When we fall because of our sins, Jesus seeks to lift us up through His love and mercy, forgiveness and reconciliation. This Lenten season, hear His call to grace and humility.
