We receive the valuable gift of faith, like a baton, and it is passed on from one generation to another. It is by our lived faith in Jesus Christ that we are transformed to become light of the world and salt of the earth. Catechist may work with children or teens for religious education and sacramental preparation, or with adults for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Supervision and resources are provided. Catechists must have profound gratitude for the gift of faith and must joyfully give witness to the same faith. CASE training is required.
